A Walk and A Poem

About six o'clock every morning the Boy and I go out for a little walk.

He loves to walk with me and runs ahead of me most of the way.

As we keep walking he slows down considerably and keeps looking back checking on me
to see if we are getting closer to home!

We always stop and pick up our morning newspapers.

This part of our little road always reminds me of one of my favorite Robert Frost poems.

The Road Not Taken

"Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both......

..........I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference."

Of course, the Boy gets a big breakfast when we get back home.

                                               Me.........not so much!

When the weather warms up and you aren't wearing as many layers as you did in cold weather, you begin to think of losing weight.   You know most people start thinking of getting into a new swimsuit.
It's been a while since I bought a new swimsuit.

In fact, I think I have a picture of me in my last swimsuit...............................................................

Your swimsuit picture reminded me of my father-in law who would always say when we were getting ready to go swim was "I'd go with you guys, but I tore a hole in the knee of my swimsuit." He knew he would always get a laugh.

Awww Miss Judy you are too cute! Those were dirt dobbers and I'm sure they will be back before you know it.
My Dad (73) and I walk a lot. Two days ago we walked in the evening around dusk. Pepper my Dads dog came with us as she does everyday. We noticed she was not behind us at the end of our walk. My Dad didn't seem to worried because we live in the country and she does that from time to time. Two day's later she was still not home. My Dad walked over three times today and we searched and searched..no luck. We called neighbors and the animal shelter...no luck. She is 14 years old and deaf so that made our search even harder. Around 6 this evening our neighbor down the street found her. She wedged her large self in between his fench and shed and could not get out. Poor baby was stuck for a two days with no food and water. She is fine now and sleeping in my Fathers den on her favorite rug. God is Good! All is well...sorry for the long story but I know you share my love of dogs and I'm just a happy camper tonight. :) ((hugs)) Susie~
