Both of my children LOVE to read and the girl is actually learning pretty quickly.

Thank you for your sweet encouragement. And I love your daughter, by the way, even though I've never met her! :)Ashleyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13997188976665807350noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7008040236442260667.post-67787108888583849982008-06-20T07:40:00.000-07:002008-06-20T07:40:00.000-07:00How neat that you have been journaling for so long...How neat that you have been journaling for so long! I loved that you would build the neighborhood for young people and I am so jealous that you have journaled all these years. How neat. I've tried but just can't stick to it. My sister-in-law has been journaling for years too. She has tried to encourage me by giving me new journals the past few years and I do really good for about three days. HA!! Have a wonderful weekend.Beckyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03841785244414475930noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7008040236442260667.post-19919955251960151922008-06-20T07:04:00.000-07:002008-06-20T07:04:00.000-07:00I think that is just wonderful you have been keepi...I think that is just wonderful you have been keeping a journal since you were in college. What a neat thing for you and your family to have!!! I wondered how in the world you knew the exact date of the last Seinfield episode!!

I too relish time alone! I look forward to it.

Instead of an island, I could be on a mountain in a cabin surrounded by trees with a moutain of books!!

We go through Dequeen (sp??) when we go to Ashdown AR to visit Bryan's cousins.
I loved reading this!!Juliehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10925274291668687900noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7008040236442260667.post-89415084630017288952008-06-20T04:55:00.000-07:002008-06-20T04:55:00.000-07:00I knew when you listed everything you did 10 years...I knew when you listed everything you did 10 years ago that you had been looking in your journal! Because you always kept such a detailed list of things. :-) (Now we have blogging)
I loved reading this. And I did love all the ways you would give away money - especially the neighborhood - that's sweet. But I didn't see anything that specifically said "give my children a bunch of money". ha! ha!Kellyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02962409524106496122noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7008040236442260667.post-64314555529676309302008-06-19T20:55:00.000-07:002008-06-19T20:55:00.000-07:00Love, love, love your ideas on spending the money!...Love, love, love your ideas on spending the money! Every day before I leave for work, I count out 15 almonds in my little snack bag! That's the limit 15--and I have them around 10:00 each morning! I will have to try the orange juice with them.

I didn't know that anyone ironed anymore! If I have something that needs ironing, it stays wadded up in the bottom of the clothes hamper and I never wear it! By the time that I finally decide to get it out --I've OUTGROWN it!! LOL

I, too, relish my alone time. I love to read books, listen to music or just go for a walk alone.

Thanks for participating in the tag. I learned so much about you. I think we would be really good friends if we lived near each other!
EmilieMiMihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03743953892055402597noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7008040236442260667.post-35375233927037636732008-06-19T19:04:00.000-07:002008-06-19T19:04:00.000-07:00This is why I love you...your comment about buildi...This is why I love you...your comment about building homes for young people in your church and retired folks in your church. I think we ordered pizza. From the date you listed--May 14th--I probably should have been studying for finals, but I guess I scheduled in a little break! :)

What a neat list of things you'd do with a billion dollars! I was watching Tiger Woods in the tournament last weekend thinking how strange it would be to have more money than you could spend in a lifetime. It would be fun to have it and get to spend it doing things like you mentioned.

Hot choc.chip cookies right out of the oven are SO good...I eat 5 or 6 when they're hot because they're just not nearly as good after they've cooled off! Lane laughs at me when I drink milk after eating something sweet--I don't sip it at all--I gulp it down in one great big drink. We drink 1%, too, but every now and then I have a small glass of Alexee's whole milk and boy is it good!

P.S. If you want to try the link thing, just type the word you want to use as the link, highlight it and then click on the little icon that looks like a green ball with a chain link on it (at least that what it looks like with my bad eyesight--maybe it's supposed to be something else?). Anyway, that icon will bring up a little screen where you can type in the web address (or just copy and paste it from where you're linking to), and say "ok".

This comment is a book...sorry! :)The Garnershttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15770917578998419977noreply@blogger.com
