Am I Blue?

What to do when you have the "Monday blues" :

Grab your closest companion.................

Go for a long walk............................

Stop and smell the roses along the way (or Dogwood and wildflowers, as the case may be!)..................

The Psalms tell us  " The earth is the Lord's and all it contains, the world and those who dwell in it."

"The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want.
He makes me lie down in green pastures;
He leads me beside quiet waters.
He RESTORES my soul."

And be VERY thankful!

It's been a blue Monday for me too! I'll say a little prayer for you! A walk is always a great way to really appreciate the wonderful works of God!

Bless you!

Beautiful post and great advice, Judy. Are you just about to melt into your shoes over Kelly's "Wings" post? Your little grand is a "picture book" beauty and those gorgeous photos of her interspersed with the words of that song are enough to make a grandmother bawl! Precious!!

I wish I could have taken a long walk today, but it would have taken too long to dig my way out from under the gossamer, cardboard, and program covers that will be prom decorations by Friday night...I hope.

Hope the blues move on in your life. I know you miss being with Harper and Kelly. I guess we all get blue at some point or other, so hang in there. Your walk looks like fun. Have a nice week. Love & blessings from NC!

I, too, sometimes feel this "blue" feeling!! Especially on Mondays! And like you...if I get out and enjoy God's wonderful creation - I almost instantly feel better! My husband rarely feels this (he says!). Maybe it's just the hormonal changes in full swing! But this time of year is definitely the best at boosting our "low" moods! Thanks for reminding me!

P.S. I'm Ashley McWhorter's (2nd comment on your post) mom!!! Don't you just love watching your daughter being a mama??!!!! I know how much it blesses me!

There is just something about being outside- somewhere much bigger than ourselves- that is cathartic and refreshing... and puts things back into {His} perspective.
