"All I Want for Christmas is......Hey, I've already got what I want for Christmas!!

Last night I went to my first Razorbacks basketball game for the new season. We have changed seats again this year as we have in the past years. I guess by the time we retire we may be somewhere closer to the court!!

We won the game against Delaware State from Dover, Delaware. I kept thinking those boys had a long trip home.

We decided to see if Kelly could entertain herself shopping for a couple of hours so we could brush up on our baby-sitting techniques!
Can I tell you that nothing warms your heart like your grandbaby recognizing you when you walk in the door and break out in a huge grin!!

Now, I know I'm not partial, but she is the SWEETEST baby! She entertained us all afternoon......uh, I mean, we kept her busy most of the day!!

Harper ate a good lunch. She is just about completely off baby food. She much prefers feeding herself with table food! I've not seen her turn anything down yet!
She loves riding her little horse Abbi gave her!
Mom had to come home.......but we were having so much fun........can we try this again? SOON?

Love the photos! She does love her grandparents by the look of the photos:) It is just as entertaining from a momma's viewpoint to see the ol' parents roll in the driveway, gifts in tow...start making really funny somewhat annoying sounds as soon as their feet hit the pavement as they get out of their car trying to get my kiddos to giggle and squeal. The neighbor's surely think we are all nuts! All of us grew up on farms so we are all trying to learn how to control ourselves:) It is difficult. Peace. Susan

it's amazing isn't it? This time last year I was pregnant w/ Shelby and praying for the day I'd get to hold her and 2 years ago we were praying w/ heavy hearts as our infertilty continued in wonder when God would bless us w/ a child and here we are today anxiously awaiting Shelby's first Christmas and wondering how much fun it'll be and all the while praising Him for His miracles. I always think of Harper and Kelly when I thank God for the miracle of babies. Even though Shelby didn't go through anything like Harper she is equally a miracle in God's eyes and I am so thankful that He delivered these two precious angels for us. I'm also thankful for these two little "miracles" we have and get to share for such a short time and watch them grow and develop! It's funny b/c everyone keeps asking me, "what do you want for Christmas?" and I keep saying, "i've already got all I want!" :) Shelby has stollen my heart as I know Harper has yours! THANK GOD FOR OUR LITTLE MIRACLES!

Thank you so much for your kind comment! If you saw my apron close up you would have seen the scald marks where my iron was too hot for the transfer! ;)

I am actually from Magnolia. Scott's mom was my school nurse growing up. Having a few years between us, we never knew each other though. When Harper was born last January, I saw so many people posting Kelly's blog on their Facebook status and saying to pray for Scott and Kelly Stamps. I thought, how do all of these people know Scott Stamps? Well now I know! Kelly's blog is such a great ministry to young women!

I moved to New York City 4 years ago. It was always my dream to live here and work for Martha Stewart. After 2 years here, I did work for her too! It's been an amazing experience, although it's quite different than what I grew up around. I miss the beauty of Arkansas, Razorback football games, and Southern food! Someday, I'm sure my husband and I will make our way back down South permanently. We make it down 2 to 3 times a year for visits, and we will actually be in Rogers visiting his sister next week, and then it's on to Big Cedar lodge in Branson for a very special Christmas with his family! I can't wait to be in the Ozarks!

Your blog is such a sweet reminder to me of the kindness of people back home. Thank you again for your kind words, and I hope you and your family have a very Merry Christmas! I know it will be so special with Harper this year!

I think you may be the only one who was at the game thinking about the trip home for the opposing team! Ha!

Doing that for Kelly is a win/win for all of y'all!!

Harper is such a happy girl!
