It was cool, overcast and even rainy today but the ballgame goes on no matter what! We played Florida today and we got beat...don't even ask the score.....but we had a great day in spite of it all!
We have season tickets and have sat in the same seats for the past 22 years. This sweet couple have sat in front of us for most of those years and we have become friends through the years. They are retired now but Jack was a career military man before he became a high school math teacher for many years.
He and Steve just had a wonderful conversation today because Jack just got back from a trip to India for several weeks. Steve has been on two trips to India so they were comparing notes! We look forward to seeing them every football season!
Well, the Razorbacks didn't do so hot today but the Razorback band was hot!! They put down their instruments and danced to "Thriller"! The WHOLE band! It was very good and the crowd loved it!
After the game we went over to our daughter and son-in-law's house for a short visit before coming home. (Had to deliver a few baby things to a certain pregnant girl!!) They gave Steve this belated birthday gift of a sign to put under the picture of the stadium he has hanging in his office at home! We thought it was funny!
Someone is looking more pregnant everyday!
Kelly and Scott were keeping precious Emily while Laurie and Steve went to the movies to see "Fireproof" tonight. Emily is so cute. She loves to try on Kelly's shoes. Kelly got out several pairs for her to try on and she walked around in them.
Emily loves Dawson but is a little shy around him so Kelly put him on a patio chair when we were outside and he will not jump down!Can't wait to find out how Dawson will take being relegated to being #2 in the family when the baby comes.
Have you had any experience with a jealous pet? How did you handle it?

What a wonderful day you had! My daughter had a German Shepherd who all of a sudden became very protective of her while she was pregnant and then switched loyalties to the baby! blessings, marlene
I suspect Dawson will have an adjustment period once Harper gets here. How fun that you have made friends with the couple just from being at games together. They look sweet. I can't wait to see what all you brought Kelly. I can really tell she is showing in that picture. What a lucky girl to get Kelly as a mom and you as a grandma. Y'all are going to have SO much fun with Harper.

You are right! Someone IS looking more pregnant everyday! SO exciting! I am sure that poor little Dawson will really have some adjusting to do. Maybe he can go stay with his grandparents some after Harper comes, so he can get some undivided attention! (-:

So glad to hear that you all enjoyed yet another game! There is nothing better than college football. Yes, Kelly is looking more and more pregnant every week. Sounds like a great weekend! Jeryn used to be shy (more like terrified) of Jamie's dog, Bogart--now I think it's the other way around! I think Dawson will be jealous at first but end up being VERY protective of Harper by the time she is crawling around!

I remember so well when we brought Brittany home from the hospital. I placed her in the bassinet that was sitting in our living room Our dog, Gizmo, hopped up on the sofa so that he could get a closer look at her. About that time, Brittany let out a whimper and Gizmo about jumped out of his skin! Scared that poor dog to death! Chris and I thought it was so funny!
Gizmo was always very protective of Brittany from Day 1. Of course, we made sure to give him plenty attention, too...a good ol' belly rub or an extra dog treat or two. :)
Kelly is looking precious! I love her baby bump! We were sorry about the score, but had fun at the game still!

We have reservations with our two pg girls and their dogs.
My daughter has Cocoa Chanel(shi tzu) and we believe she'll run and hide like that dog, Gizmo.
Our son's two boxers (from boxer rescue foundation after having to put their boxer puppy to sleep :( will be curious but gentle. At least we HOPE so. :) Those two dogs are excellent.

Thank you so very much for your kind words and prayers following the passing of Chris' dad. Yes, you're right, we know all too well the pain of losing someone we love.
We are, however, comforted by the fact that my father-in-law is in heaven and his suffering has come to an end.
