Life in the NICU

I haven't had (or taken maybe ) the chance to post this past week because I have been a little busy watching life fly by sitting in the waiting room by the NICU here in Tulsa.

To say the past two weeks has been wild would be certainly an understatement!

I know anyone who reads this most likely comes to my little blog through Kelly's Korner so I don't have to explain what all has been going on in our lives since about January 16th!

To add to our already thrilling time here we have also experienced an ice and snow storm this week.  Much of our hometown is still without power and we are thinking of them.

Harper's grandpa and  her other set of grandparents are on their way back here today.
The thought of seeing those beautiful eyes were more than they could take!!!

Harper, as of today, is eating and doing so well.  You will have to go to Kelly's blog for updated pictures. Harper has been moved to a "hospital" baby bed and she had on "real" clothes today...all firsts!   She looks MAVVVVV-a-LUSSSSS!!!   Especially to her Nonny!!

I don't even know where to begin to tell of God's blessings we have experienced in the past 10 days or so.  It absolutely defies anything I  have seen or known about personally.  All I can truly say is  that I have seen the actual hand of God move........in our lives and everyone who knows about Harper.  And the truth is, it's not about Harper,Kelly or any of us.  It's about the Lord and how He loves us and wants a relationship with his children.

I wish I had the time to list all the wonders and blessings I have experienced.  May I will later.
I did want to share a scripture that to me sums up my feelings.  Please keep praying so we can take Harper home  soon!   Thank each of you who have done so much for us without even knowing our family personally.  It has been a God Thing!

"But this happened that we might not rely on ourselves, but on God.........On Him we have put
our hope that He will continue to deliver us, as you help us by your prayers.

Then MANY will give thanks on our behalf for the gracious favor granted us in answer to the prayers of many."

2 Corinthians 1: 9-11

Hi Kelly's Mom! I'm a reader of Kelly's page and I hope you don't mind but I'm trying to find a way to email a gift certificate to Kelly! A couple of my close friends and I wanted to get a little something for Kelly (a treat Just for Her) and we are afraid there isn't enough time to send it in the mail (with Harper's Wonderful progress... which we are overjoyed about) so we would like to email it. I hope you can help! My email is nbucciarelli@gmail.com. You have a precious granddaughter and your daughter is a wonderful role model to all of us!! Many thanks, Nina

p.s. I emailed your husband this morning - I know all of you are very busy and I don't won't to be a bother so I apologize for the double emails :-)

Hi Nonny! I began following Kelly's blog the day of Harper's birth. I have been in prayers for her and your entire family since. Throughout your journey, I have also been on a journy of my own, suffering a 'missed' miscarriage at 14 weeks. The verses and joy I have read in each of your, Kelly's, and your husband's blogs have been so encouraging to me, and so uplifting. I have loved seeing little Harper fight and win. Each update has been a bright spot in my day:) I'm so glad God gave me another baby to pray for when there was such a loss in my own.

The faith you all have displayed (for many many to "see") is amazing to me.

The bible says about Abraham, "He believed God and it was credited to him as righteousness."

Your family has publicly shown that you believe God and it has blessed me every day I log on.

i wish i could explain how happy i am for your family and the great things God has done for sweet harper. it has warmed my heart and strengthen my faith just to watch it unfold. i had never heard of kelly or visited her blog until the night harper was born, i read about her from angie smith's blog. like many other bloggers i haven't been able to get them off my heart or mind. i am currently 15 weeks pregnant with our second child and can't imagine what kelly has been through emotional. lastly thank-you VERY much for sharing the scripture, i need to read and soak that in MORE thank you know. as i said earlier we are expecting, and have a four year old little boy. sadly my husband who is a pilot for united airlines found out just yesterday that due to the exonomy, he will be furloughed (layed off) in two months. as a stay at home momma i am truly scared for our future. so thank-you from the bottom of my heart for your warm words and faith.
