Afternoon Delight

Run....don't walk to your grocery store and get a half-gallon of this!

I should be ashamed but I just finished off a pint by myself (2 days worth) and it was
the BEST thing I've had in a long time!!!! Delicious doesn't begin to describe it!

What's your favorite ice cream??

"Moo-lennium Crunch" sounds delicious...I love chocolate and nuts! We treated ourselves to some ice cream last night after a trip to the grocery store with two little ones! Howie had Lemon Sugar Cookie and I had Peanut Butter Goo Goo (chocolate and vanilla ice cream w/ swirls of caramel and peanut butter and chocolate covered peanuts)...YUM-O! They are both Publix brand flavors.

Pint, heck! Back in the olden days, the boys would tell people that I sit on the couch with a half gallon of ice cream (Mint Chip, thankyouverymuch) wrapped in a tea towel. HA!!

I have not heard of this before it sounds delicious. I have to say my all time favorite flavor is coffee. Kinda crazy since I don't drink coffee. A scoop on top of a sugar cone is yummy.

Favorite was Haagen Daz Vanilla Bean Light, but they don't make the light ice cream anymore. So, Vanilla Bean real. But I usually only allow myself to eat Dreyer's Double Churned Vanilla Bean Light. Or Chocolate Chip Mint.

There's a tiny company up near my parents' place called Mieles. I love their mint choc chip or fudge flavours madly!

Yum Yum Blue Bell reminds me of growing up in Texas. My favorite ice cream is by http://www.ciaobellagelato.com/
It is Italian ice cream that is brought over to the US. The vanilla is the best I've ever had. Go try it :)

I have to say, when I really want to indulge, I buy Ben and Jerry's Phish Food.

As far as Blue Bell is concerned, one of my favorites is Banana Pudding!!! Very yummy!!! The first time I tasted Cookies-n-Cream ice cream was when I was baby-sitting and I think I ate 2 full bowls!!

Ooooohh, I hadn't heard of Lemon Sugar Cookie. I've never seen that in our stores. Will have to look for that one. =)

Enjoy your blog, as always!
God Bless!

I was visiting Dallas a few years ago we were at a gas station and the attendant asked us if we had tried Blue Bell and we had no idea what she was talking about . She told us it was ice cream. Later that day we tried some and it was the best ice cream and we came home to Tennessee and lo and behold Wal Mart was selling it!

We love Blue Bell but Purity ice cream is just as good and then there is a twist cone from Dairy Queen that is also a fav of mine.:)

Blessings,
Patty

Hello again! Oh my gosh, Blue Bell Ice Cream - oh how I miss thee! Me & my husband moved from Arkansas to Las Vegas 2 years ago & they don't sell Blue Bell OR Yarnells here. Isn't that tragic? I miss Arkansas so much.

Becky & I grew up in Conway, AR. We lived there since the 3rd grade. My mom has been a teacher in Conway for almost 20 years & she is now a literacy coach. She travels all over during the summer, speaking to other teachers. Our nannie lives near Mountain View, AR & our Aunt & Uncle (Lindsey's mom & dad) live near Mountain Home, AR. We grew up in an Assembly of God church.

My mom & dad are so sad because Becky & I have moved off & we are both expecting. I am so sad about this too, but I hope we will be able to fly home as often as we can. We are very excited about having a baby boy! This will be the first boy in our family for 3 generations. Maybe Becky will have a girl. We are having a double shower in November in Arkansas. Twins always doing things together!
Bonnie :)
