Horsing Around with Harper

Every country girl needs a horse! At least her grandparents thought so. She got her first "ride" today and there is a short video at the end with her reaction.
Harper loves breakfast and this morning in addition to her YoBaby yogurt she got her first try at waffles. Guess what....she liked them!
Harper loves to read, so she spent part of her afternoon reading a good book or two. Some new novel about sounds animals make. Bet it is a best seller!
One of the books she read was so good that she had to read it to Poppa!
I didn't take my camera tonight but Harper got all dressed up and went out to dinner at El Chico with her Uncle Bob and Aunt Linda. Again, she was quite fascinated with the young waiter!

We had another great day! Kelly and Scott, she is eating great and sleeping well! She is just been a real little trooper! We are totally taken by her and everything she does. We hope you have had a great day!

I remember after my trips to Nicaragua I never took having running water in my house for granted! You will understand this after what you see this week!

Enjoy the video!

I have never commented here but I'm a faithful reader of yours and Kelly's. Every child should be as lucky as Harper to have you and your husband for grandparents. She is so adorable and I know Kelly and Scotts' minds are at ease knowing their little girl is in such good care.

Does the horse get Scott off the hook for the pony he promised Harper? Looks like she is really enjoying herself. Spoil her as only Grandparents can.
Keeping you in my heart in Ga.

She's adorable. I love that horse; I think I saw the same one at Costco. My 15 month old son was fascinated with it. Harper is lucky to have such great grandparents. She's going to go home spoiled for sure.

I REALLY, REALLY don't think she is ever going to come home to live with us again.

When I first found out I was going to be a grandma (20 years ago), I bought a big, nice, wooden rocking horse that was all handmade. And over the years most of my grandkids loved it.

Harper looks like she loves her horse too,...and loves spending this time with you and grandpa.

How wonderful that you get to spend this time with her.

I do know that you will be tired by the time Kelly gets home,...but it is well worth it.

Keep the poists coming,...this is fun for us too.

P.S. I couldn't find the video

Scott may have found a loophole with that horse- no clean-up, feed, or pasture needed!

Isn't it amazing how good babies are without their parents? It's like they have no clue how long they have been gone or how long they will be staying with you!

Your granddaughter is adorable! I read your daughter's blog regularly and have recently found yours.

I would like to say that both of you are an inspiration to me and that I can only hope that one day I get to have such a happy family and life, like you seem to have. You are truly blessed.

I admire your faith and your outlook on life very much and I was wondering if it would be ok if contacted you by e-mail, to ask you a question about your faith.

I notice you have your e-mail on your profile but I but I wanted to check first if it was ok to contact you about this since you don't even know me.

Thank you for reading this and I hope you have a wonderful week with little Harper!

To Pourprey,
Of course it would be fine to send me an email. If I can answer any questions about my faith that would be of help to you, I would be very happy to do so!
