Another Busy Day

For those of you who are wondering how Dawson, our granddog, is doing this time around visiting the country, the answer is "just fine". Although he stays with the other dogs, The Boys, at their home in the shop, he makes a B-line down to the house everyday while the others go on a walk. I fed him some left-over roast beef today....but don't tell the other Boys!!

Papa brought Harper a new play pen today. We decided she needed a protected place to stay when she isn't in her high chair, the exersaucer or my arms!! She is just on the move constantly and I thought she needed a little space that she could play safely.
I cooked her some carrots today and she really ate them well. In fact, she has eat everything really well!
This afternoon we decided she should help around the house to pay for her upkeep so she and Papa cut some wood (yes, still trees down from the ice storm in January) and move it in the tractor.

She is a pretty good tractor driver!

She and Papa were going to round up our herd (dogs) to feed them and the deer.
I believe Harper is doing well and having a good time!
We went for a stroll this afternoon to see if the deer were out yet.
While Hubby was at the hospital visiting, Harper and I went by to see my sister, Linda, who teaches history at the junior high.
Linda pointed out to Harper where her Mom and Dad are this week! Harper thought it was a long way from home!
Finally, this evening we took Harper out for dinner. She is so funny and loves to stare at the young waiters and smile big time. A flirt for sure!!

We finished our evening by making a quick stop to "toy headquarters" to pick up a few new toys for her new playpen! Tomorrow will be another fun day!

I'm worried about how happy she looked on the 4 wheeler. You turned my dog into a country dog and now you are turning Harper into a country girl. ha!
Thank you for taking such good care of her! I can tell she is so happy. I think you understand now when I tell you my house is not clean and nothing gets done. I've got a busy girl on my hands.

Hey Scott,

You don't know me. But notice how Grandma & Grandpa are buying a play pen, and toys, if you see pictures of them redecorating a room pink, y'all better high tail it home - before she 'MOVES' in.

Aren't grandparent AMAZING, love um!

Praying for you all.

I am loving seeing Harper with her grandparents! Other than having my baby girl in my arms~grandparents are the next best thing. I know that ya'll are taking great care of her. She is going to be like my girl and not even want to go home after this week! Olivia could stay with her Meemaw and Pop forever!! Family is a blessing that is for sure!!

HI Nonny,
I certainly does look like Harper is having a grand time. I'm sure that will put Kelly's mind at ease. The picture of her and her Grandpa on the tractor is worthy of being put on the frig! She will cherish that when she is older. Spoil her while you can.
Keeping you in my heart in Ga.

Hello again- Yes, I take the girls to Bryce's one a week or so because they have 99cents kids meals now. Who can beat that? My husband loves it so its a good excuse after dance or gymnastics one night. I know exactly where De Queen is and I know Kelly has mentioned visiting Scott's parents in Magnolia. My dad's family is all from Nashville, Arkansas so we know how to call those Hogs ;)Small world...

I haven't had time to update my blog in some time as you see...maybe I'll get back into it. I still check others blogs and I tell you..Kelly's is my favorite hands down. You have a special family- God Bless!
