Sunday Worship on a Snowy Day

Psalm 42:1

"As the deer pants for the water,
So my soul pants for Thee, O God."

It is so hard to be home on a Sunday without being in church. I don't know how Christians stay out of church and not miss it. It is life to me.

Today, God sent the deer to my backyard to call to mind this wonderful scripture in Psalms.

I love when God speaks even through his creatures!

That is beautiful! We got a little snow here today too, but nothing like that.

I was just thinking about that song this morning. I was pondering if my soul pants for the Lord like the deer for the water. The phrase 'You alone are my heart's desire' always manages to convict me, touch me.

This is beautiful Judy. Thanks for sharing.
I agree with you about church. I would be so lost without my sweet church family.

I had to call my mom last night to tell her that Harper's grandmother wrote on my blog. Ha! What a blessing it was. My Daddy would love your deer. While we were with them Christmas, we were able to see three of his eight deer. He is so proud of them. I love this song and verse. I so long after my Father.

Hi there, we often come to your blog because my son loves to watch the "videos of Harper." We stopped by today and as I was explaining tht there were deer in front of Harper's Grandma's house, he exclaimed "Where's Rudolph?" And now where are Harper's reindeer?

I thought it was cute and wanted to share.

Your post was beautiful. I do not like when we miss church for one reason or another. My week just doesn't go right.

I enjoyed your Baby of The Year. I may have to do that for my precious Kaiden. He can be the Baby of The Year from Colorado.

Judy - I guess it's just a "grandmother thing" but when Kelly has something adorable about Harper on her blog, I find myself wanting to comment to you. I absolutely rolled laughing at Harper helping herself to the Oreos. Is that not the cutest little chocolate face you ever saw!! She is so precious! I know you are going to have SO much fun at her birthday party.

Harper's birthday is the day my first granddaughter is getting married so we'll be in NC for that party. Different kind of decorations ... but it should still be lots of fun. Blessing to all!

Hi, I came over from the Grandparenting experience. Loved the video and the pic of your husband 'cooking'. I thought at first he made that beautiful dip (maybe he did). I need to put mine to work.

Here in NC we are expecting a "dusting" of snow tonight too! I guess tomorrow we will know exactly what that means. I love watching the deer too. We had 17 in our backyard just yesterday. I thought they were beautiful until I saw what they had done to my three Camellias. They stripped them bare! Now flowers for me in the spring :(
