"And Friends are friends forever........"

I have had a nice few days this past week-end.  I have several good friends who have been keeping my schedule full!

Saturday three of us took a little trip down to the central part of the state to visit some of our favorite ladies.

This sweet lady on the left was one of our Proverbs 31 ladies in our church for years and years.
We hated to see her move but she now lives close to her beautiful daughter on the right and also get to keep an eye on this darling young man!

He was busy stuffing his mouth with his pre-lunch CheeseNips!  (As any two-year-old will do)!

Yesterday after church I was invited to a luncheon for a sweet man in our church who was having his 74th birthday!  His Bible Study class were all in attendance and I felt honored to be invited along!

After I got home from the luncheon, I changed clothes and went to another birthday gathering for
one of my very favorite Senior Saints!

The birthday girl ( I think she was turning 87) in on the right.  The other two ladies are in their nineties and they are all friends!  Aren't they the sweetest?  "Miss Fern", the birthday girl, comes with us EVERY Sunday morning at eight a.m. to the nursing home to love on the "older people" while we have a morning service for the residents there.  It never ceases to bless my heart to see this Godly older woman come and spread the love of the Lord to others every Sunday.....come rain or shine!
My heart and life is so blessed because of her!  I love you Fern!

Are these not beautiful hands?  I hesitate to think of the hours these sweet hands have cooked, washed dishes, hung out the laundry, combed their children's hair and soothed a baby's tears.  Precious hands!

And speaking of friends.......guess who has come to spend the week with us while her adopted parents go out of town for a little trip?

Miss Teal is expecting a litter of pups and we are making sure she gets well fed and loved for a week!

However, we are going to have to have a little discussion..............

Miss Fern and Miss Lilian have not aged in 20 years. I need to know their secret.

I love the older ladies at our church. There us an elderly couple who sit in front of me and hold hands. They are at least 90. It's the sweetest. I love the hands picture, I often see older people in the store or out and wonder what they used to be or do.:)
