I saw a show on TV a week or so ago about three people who had what they called Superior Autobiographical Memory. One of the three was actress Marilu Henner. What they claim is that they can have total recall of any date in their life and what they did on that certain date!
I have to say that I really can't remember what I did last week but today's date is as fresh in my mind as it was forty years ago.
I married the love of my life forty years ago tonight! I remember it quite well!
We were 22 years old, college graduates and very much in love!
Nothing has changed except the age!
I think I have been blessed beyond measure with a wonderful husband who loves me, tells me he loves me everyday and seals it with a kiss!
He has been my best friend, my protector, my encourager, my provider, makes me laugh and picks me up when I am down. He loves the Lord first and has been a fantastic father. He is faithful and true to me and our family. What more do I say but "Thank You God" and I love you Steve!
Grow old with me ....the best is yet to be!

Congratulations on 40 years! Your post brings tears of joy to my eyes - why can't more marriages be like yours? My assumption is because God isn't involved in them. I look forward to celebrating 40 years (and more) with my sweetie. We will celebrate 15 this summer and I can hardly believe how fast it has flown. Happy Anniversary!

You are so welcome! I remembered you were just a little ways south, Flippin, right? Who was her photographer? That is so cool! And YES, we are so ready for this nasty snow to be gone. It was pretty, but now it's a muddy mess and that means muddy paw prints on our hardwood floor unless we take the time to dry them off! It even rained here today, which I guess washed some of it away, but it's so gross out there! I hope you all had a fabulous anniversary, now it's time to await Hollis's arrival!!!!
