O Happy Day!! Part 2

Life has been pretty exciting the past couple of days for us!  I'm sure most of you know by now we welcomed our second granddaughter into the world on Wednesday morning!

We went over Tuesday night to have our family get-together to get ready for the next morning's Big Event!

A sweet lady from our church named Sharon made Kelly a diaper bag with Hollis' initial on it with colors that matched her nursery.  She also made Harper a little matching bag with a baby in it!  Thank you so much Sharon!  It was certainly a hit with Harper!

Harper was checking out some of her "old equipment" ( baby swing) getting ready for baby sister!  Kelly said Harper didn't like the swing when she was a small infant but was fascinated by it when they got it out for Hollis!

Kelly's brother, Chris and his wife Carrie came to help the family celebrate the new arrival!

Harper loved the attention from Aunt Carrie and Uncle Chris or "Coco" as she calls him.

Harper shows Carrie and Chris her kitchen!

The kids all went out to dinner to spend some time together (minus Harper who stayed home with her Nonny and Papa )!

At last, I think Kelly had everything organized down to what Harper should put on everyday and she was ready to get on with the show!!!

We (two sets of Grandparents, aunt, uncle, friends) arrived very early to get the festivities started.
I loved Scott's outfit.  He looked like he was going into a nuclear power plant.  I wonder if they sprayed him down before he entered the surgery room?
Kelly will hate me for this shot but I thought it was cute!!

It wasn't 30 minutes later and this beautiful 8 lb. 13 oz. baby girl was in the nursery!  Welcome to the world Miss Hollis Barrett Stamps!!   We already love every inch of you and every dark wavy hair on your head!!   You look so much like your Mom!

I love watching the baby doctor and nurse work on the newborns!

Dad was in the nursery doing what he likes to do......taking pictures of his daughters!

Papa was doing what he likes to do .......coloring with his grandbaby, Harper!

So that is a "few" of our pictures made yesterday.    The last picture is one of my favorites.

I love these little feet and wonder where the Lord will lead Hollis in her future!

We thank Him and praise Him for the gift of life He has
brought to our family!

I'm a grandma twice also. They brighten my life so much. I have a 3 year old grandson and a 15 month old granddaughter. Our son passed away at 17 in 2000 of brain cancer so I only have my daughter in our earthly world. They will not be having any more children but I will forever cherish these two babies.
Congrats to you. Harper and Hollis are simply beautiful.

All of these pictures tell the story of celebration and love! What an adorable bundle of joy Miss Hollis is! I am so happy for you all.

I rejoice with you Nonny Judy!

God is sooo Good!

I have good news...our daughter Lynnette's book is being published! Yay! It is her second book, and it tells the story of the 911 operator who took the call the day our granddaughter Anna died. It is the story of how it affected his life and how he came to Christ after reading Lynnette's first book. Our God is an awesome God!

Judy - I am SOOOOO thrilled for you. I've been praying so hard for everything to go wonderfully for Kelly this time and just kept feeling in my spirit that it would. I'm glad she chose the C-section delivery though I know it will make her recovery a little longer. Hollis is without a doubt one of the most gorgeous newborns I have ever seen - and as a grandmother of 8, I don't say that lightly. What a little doll. Yep, Kelly is going to have a ball putting bows in that beautiful hair!! Much love and congrats to you all and great praise and thanksgiving to the Giver of every good and perfect gift.
