Continuing Harper's Big Adventure- What a Great Saturday!!

We are continuing to have a wonderful time keeping Harper!  Something happening every minute!

Kelly was worried about Harper being a little jealous over new Baby Hollis.  Well, our baby, Skipper, has shown a little jealousy over Harper being here.  He is constantly trying to sit on our laps and stay right beside us.  So funny!   I think he is thinking, "How long is this new kid going to be here?"

And this is what he did to Harper's colors she left sitting out!!

We had a beautiful day today!  One of the prettiest and WARMEST days in a long, long time!

When we had a bad storm several months ago, high winds took a couple of pieces of our siding off the top of our house.  Hubby put all this up over six years ago and I didn't think he should climb up there again and repair it.  It makes my palms sweat when he does things like that!!

But wouldn't you just know what a pretty Saturday does to the man who thinks he is Norm the home builder??

Yes, I didn't know he was up there until I hear banging on the house and ran out to see this!
So I took pictures just in case I needed them for the insurance forms!
And, yes, my palms were sweating!!

After all that was done and Harper woke up from her short nap ( could you sleep if someone was pounding on your house??) we decided to take her to the playground at our church for a little fun!

We got her a new car seat for our car so we wouldn't have to keep trading cars and seats with her Mom and Dad just to take her places.  She loves for her Papa to put her in her car seat!

After a long time of play Harper was tired....or was it Nonny and Poppa tired?  Anyway, we ALL agreed that ice cream at Sonic would be our last stop before going home and getting a bath! We were all dirty and tired!!

Tomorrow is Sunday School and church and Harper loves to go to church!  We are really going to miss her next week but I guess she HAS to go home!   But maybe her Mom and Dad will be kind enough to let her come stay with her Nonny and Papa again soon!  We would love that!

I want to remember all the sweet things about this week: how she says "Thank you Nonny. Thank you Papa" for everything we do for her; how she sings "Jesus Loves Me" to herself in bed, how she loves the dogs, gives them hugs and kisses every day; how she waves "good-bye" to the clerks at Wal-Mart; how we go for a walk and she picks up sticks and rocks and says "thank you Harper" like she herself is doing a good deed; these things are precious to me!

Did I mention that I love this baby girl?

Oh Judy, I know you must be loving every minute with Harper! She is so precious. If you are anything like me, you will hate it when she goes home...but you will be really tired too...so you will need your rest. (:>)

It is so amazing how much Harper and Grace have in common...Grace is obsessed with collecting sticks and rocks too! Thank you for commenting on my blog. I still haven't gotten my accounts straightened out...but hoping I will make more headway on Monday. Have a beautiful Sunday! God Bless!

Gee Whiz! You'd think you loved that kid or something! And who could blame you. Your pics today are adorable. I cracked up at the one of Skipper. He is not a happy camper. That scowl is great. I know you will miss Harper when you have to take her home. The house will be too quiet. Watched a movie today where one of the characters was named Harper. Catch up on your rest next week so you will be ready for the continuing adventures of Miss Harper.
Keeping you in my heart in Ga.

Is it weird that this brings tears to my eyes. Kelly is so blessed to have you guys for parents. Even if having Harper around might be a little tiring, since she is a busy toddler and all...it is so nice to see that you post such sweet things. You are so joyful in the task of being her Gram. I must admit I'm a bit envious. :-) Love your blog.

I can really tell that Harper loves YOU and Papa, too! What wonderful pictures and memories you will carry forever in your heart. Harper will probably hate to go home, too. I remember when I'd spend a week with my gram and grandpa, I screamed all the way home when my parents came to pick me up. I have wonderful memories of those times and I am sure Harper will too of her wonderful, caring grandparents. Love you blog, by the way! :0)

God bless,
Missy
