"DIRT"y Work

After living in our house for three years, we are now trying to put in a front yard and get grass growing. Yesterday afternoon we had 4 truckloads of dirt delivered. Hubby had his tractor out trying to move the dirt around and smooth it down because it is suppose to rain for the next four days. So, hopefully, in a few months, we will have real grass in front of the house and not just weeds!

I LOVE your house. It is so pretty and just looks like it is so inviting. It looks like something you see on the cover of Southern Living. Oh how I would love to be on the porch in one of those rocking chairs just wasting away a summer day! You lucky girl!

You make it sound like I haven't done anything for the past three years. To set your readers straight - I might be slow, but I am steady. I labored for nearly five years building our dream home in my spare time - a few hours in the evening, a Saturday hear and there. I am now questioning my sanity. After all, a lush lawn means I have to spend precious hours mowing every week while I use us $3.65 gasoline.
Not too smart I dare say!

I love this, I think we have the same discussion at our house, but Chris's answer is bermuda grass and fescue! We still live on a pile of dirt and rocks...lots and lots of rocks!
