Didn't I just pack these up a few weeks ago????

Is it just me or has this year flown by? I swear I just packed up these Christmas decorations what seems to me like a few weeks ago!
In fact, I think I wrote a blog about it after Christmas last year!

This year I have moved the tree on the other side of the room. I got hubby in on putting up the tree! I like to decorate the tree but I'm not much on stringing lights! Of course, one of the strings of lights didn't work so hubby had to make a dash for our local WM.

He got the new string of lights and got this interesting new little gadget. It hooks up to your lights and you step on that little red button when you want your lights to come on. No more crawling under the tree knocking off balls and tinsel just to plug in your lights. (Not that I had that ever happen to me! har)
Hopefully, by sometime tomorrow I will have my house decorated once again for the season.
Next year, I will probably be baby-proofing my Christmas decorations.(Harper will nearlybe one year old) Any suggestions on what to do?

You are so organized! I wish I were! I need to get one of those light turner on gadgets. Yep, I have to crawl to get my light on.

Suggestion, hang your tree from the ceiling! LOL!!! Your laughing but that's where ours is this year. HA! HA! Not really. But it probably should be! My hero is gonna have to get us one of those clap on, clap off.....or was that step on, step off, because I've been crawlin' under the tree everynight now for a couple of weeks. And, it's hard on Ms. granny grunt here anymore to get down and get back up. Most the time I just want to stay down there. LOL!!!

I love the garage shelves! Maybe I should add that to Josh's honey-do list! Actually, I might should give him a break for a few months since he is just recovering from putting baby furniture together!

It is a crazy thought that Harper will almost be one and we haven't even seen that pretty girl's face yet! Brody will almost be 15 months old! Luckily, my ornaments are plastic and can't break! I got them from Trees and Trends last year long before we knew about the baby! The Lord was looking out for me. He knew what was to come!!

The year DID fly by--I felt the same way when I crawled into the attic storage to drag out boxes...didn't I just stack them there!?!?!

What a neat gadget for the tree lights--Rhett would L-O-V-E that. Alexee would probably wear it out though!

I've had my "easy button" for our Christmas tree for about 4 or 5 years now. It's a great invention!!

Jamie's right though, a child would probably have a hay day with it.

I wish I had the storage you have. Amazing!!!

Baby proofing is easy. Breakable ornaments on the top of the tree. Soft "touchable" ornaments near the bottom. We have a nativity set that Nathan plays with under the tree. It's all about distraction from the breakable items. :) We put our small tree up yesterday since my mom and Sharon are here. Love, Laura M.

I know what you mean...this year has just flown by! And what a difference a year makes!!! This time last year Kelly wasn't pregnant with Harper and Baby D wasn't in our arms yet...God has done so many AMAZING things this year!

Yes!! I feel the exact same way...like it was just yesterday that I got all that stuff out. I said that very thing when we were putting up our tree. But I love your big red button!!

You have to post pictures of your finished tree! I've always wanted those annoying musical lights for some reason. That is a neat little gadget for the lights though! As far as baby proofing...I have no idea, but I am sure Harper will be loved and held by Grandma so much she probably won't be getting into the tree :)

I must have one of those gadgets!! I think it is funny how when a man goes to the store, he usually finds the neatest gadgets!

We put up our tree and I had Bryan do the same thing...put up the tree and string the lights. Those are my 2 least favorite things.
