Same Dress......35 years later

I got tickled that Kelly let Harper wear to church this past Sunday one of her dresses that I have saved for the past thirty+ years! It was so cute then and I thought it looked cute on Harper!

Thought you might like to see Kelly in that very dress. She was about 5-6 mos old in these pictures. She had a little more hair than Harper has now but I do see a strong resemblance, don't you? But Harper looks alot like her Daddy too! And that's a good thing!

Wonder if Kelly will save some of Harper's dresses for Harper's future daughter?

I think it is so sweet to pass down special little outfits! I have saved a few that I will pass down someday.

I think Harper looks like both her mommy and daddy! Kelly definitely had a lot more hair (and darker, too!)

PS-I love your husband's comment! haha

I don't think Harper looks anything like me...........she is her daddy all the way!
I was wondering if you had pictures of me in this outfit? I need to get a copy and frame both of us in it.

I LOVE those old pictures. And how sweet that you saved some of Kelly's outfits. I hadn't even thought to do that. I did keep one outfit for each of the boys that were special to me.

I think it is so neat that you kept her dresses. I read Kelly's post and Harper looked like a little doll in that dress. It looked precious on your Kelly too. What a wonderful keepsake.

IF Kelly saves Harper's clothes, Harper better have a "junior" or at least pick a name that starts with an "h." LOL
I love your hubby's comment! =)

I think Harper looks very much like Kelly. I never thought Molly looked like me until she got older. I think it's because her hair was lighter like her Dad's. Both are beautiful of course!

You are one organized Nonny to find the pic's of Kelly in the dress. I know I need to tackle Evie's pics before it gets any more out of hand. I LOVE your blog. It's just heart warming to see your perspective on being a mom and grandmother.

I LOVE that you have those pictures of Kelly in the same dress Harper got to wear. And I love Kelly's idea of framing one of each of them in the dress. Harper seems to be a nice mix of her mommy and daddy. Thanks for sharing!!

That is just so cool that you saved that dress. I've done the same thing with some of my favorite outfits from my two kids.

I LOVE sentimental stuff!!! Your "girls" both look adorable in that sweet little dress! I've kept some of my favorites of my kid's things, too.

My mom saved a few of my dresses. She had a couple from when I was in 1st grade. My daughter had her 1st grade picture taken in one of them. Cute, cute! It does a Mama's heart good to share special things like that. God bless!

Oh my goodness, she is SO CUTE! I do see Harper in those pictures too. How special that you saved them - my grandmother saved some my mother's baby clothes (mine all got passed down to cousins) and they are so precious to me. And yes, I am CERTAIN that Kelly is saving EVERYTHING :)

How adorable! I didn't save too many of my son's outfits, but I have quite a few quilts, books, etc that I have shared.

If she does save some, Harper should name her girl Harper or at least a name that starts with an "H".

This is so,SO neat! My Mom saved some of my dresses, too, but she hasn't had time to get them and bring them to me....I will LOVE IT if I get to put Avery Kate in some of my old clothes!!!
You and Kelly remind me of me and my Mom....such a blessing to have such a great relationship!

I don't think she looks like Kelly. I've always thought she looks like Scott.

It would be neat to do a side by side comparison. What a special keepsake!
