Time Can Mean So Much

There's an old song that has a line that says, "Time goes by so slowly and time can mean so much....".

I don't think that line would be relevant in today's world.....or at least in my world.  I can't believe how quickly time goes by.  I am constantly seemingly two steps behind where I should be and constantly trying to catch up!

Can you identify?

Time goes by so quickly that when I spent this week-end with my daughter and family as we attended the dedication service of our new grandbaby, it was like deja-vu!  Couldn't believe two short years ago we were doing the same thing on Mother's Day for Harper.

But this time, Miss Hollis was in the spotlight!  She is just a precious baby and I find myself anxious to see what kind of personality she will have.  However, I do not want to rush this process. I want  to enjoy every minute of her "newness" because I know it does not last long!

We had a great family time with Harper full of vinegar and listening to her talk just delights me to the bone when she says, "I love you Nonny".   I don't need a gift or anything....that is enough to satisfy me!

So here are a few pictures of my week-end.  Kelly, of course, has posted pictures days ago but I have to sort mine out and it takes me longer!!

I love her coloring.  The dark hair and the blue/gray eyes (subject to change I understand) are just beautiful to me.  And she is so sweet!  Just looks around and watches what everyone else is doing!

Harper loved playing outside!

She loves to draw on the patio with chalk!

Got to watch Hollis get her bath! Nothing smells sweeter than a freshly-bathed baby!

All ready for bed!

Harper passed out her Gigi's birthday gifts!

Fancy gloves to do dishes with!

Hollis having a little "Daddy time"!

Just before the church service began!

Lots of babies being dedicated!

Wonderful church service.....love their music especially that day!

Harper always wants to carry her own bag!

This picture took me about 10 shots before I could get these sweeties to be still and look at the camera!

Steve and Laurie and their girls joined us for lunch!

This made my Mother's Day complete!

Sweet little Petit Fours would melt in your mouth!

A darling picture frame for Hollis from my sister and brother-in-law!

Hollis, we are so blessed to have you in our family!

These pictures are so precious! Harper is so pretty! My oldest daughter has a personality like hers. I love the picture you captured of Hollis smiling. She seems so laid back like my Mady.

I just love all the pictures! The girls in their identical blue dresses are darling. I especially like the ones of Harper with the black beads on. She has such personality! Hollis is a doll and I love that little smile peeping through. I think the second baby is always easier, somehow they are more laid back than the first.

She is such a precious baby!! Could be a baby model! So could her sister (toddler).
So glad you had a precious Mother's Day!
That pic of Hollis & her Daddy is priceless.

What beautiful Pictures from such a glorious day! The last shot of Hollis is gorgeous. I noticed in the chalk art picture that Harper looks like she drawing right-handed now. I can remember Kelly saying on her blog, how she thought Harper was favouring her left hand-maybe she'll end up being able to draw with both!
Beautiful memories from a lovely day.
Blessings

Hi Judy. I do understand why you want to treasure little Hollis and enjoy each moment...they do grow up so quickly. She is so beautiful...and looks so different than Harper looked at her age. It will be fun to see what her personality will be like though...and each stage is wonderful.

I loved the pictures. The last one of Hollis is just precious.

So glad you had a nice Mother's Day.
