Moon River

The old song made famous by Andy Williams came to mind the other night as Hubs ask me if I wanted to drive up to the dam located just a couple of miles from us to view the "Super Moon" that had been touted on the news.

By the way, let me add that Andy Williams was one of my favorite singers when I grew up and he STILL sings at his own theater in Branson!!  We saw him several years ago and I still love to hear him. We were probably the youngest people in the audience at that time!

Back to the Super Moon.....We live in the most beautiful part of our state.  I was born and grew up in the Southern part of the state but I can say, without a doubt, it is so majestic here.

The mountains and the rivers are breath-taking and I am so thankful God, in His mercy and grace, saw fit to let us live here!

This is looking down on the river from the dam.
I never tire of this view!

This is looking back on the other side of the dam at the lake.

This is the visitor's center overlooking the river.  The picture is not very good, but the center is just lovely.  In fact, someone was having a party outside on the terrace that night.

My pictures are certainly not the quality to show the beauty of the magnificent moon that came into view within a very few moments.

But it was a wonderful night to share with my sweet husband.
You know it's the little things in life that make life "SUPER"!

Beautiful - I went outside but it was pretty hazy and foggy didn't see it. So glad I got to enjoy your photos.

I saw Andy in Branson about 3 years ago. He was great. We too were youngest there hah

One of my favorite trips.

My 6 year old son recently asked what "romance" was... I'd say this qualifies! :)

When I would massage when I was pregnant with Kenlee, that was one of the songs in my mix & one of my all time favorites. So calming & relaxing.

I love that song! My husband and I walked down the aisle (he escorted me--my dad passed away when I was 16) to Audrey Hepburn's version. :) We were bad, though, and missed the Supermoon!
